The holidays have a sound. This year, we’re turning it up.

The Gay Men’s Chorus of Charlotte returns with JOY! — our annual holiday celebration filled with gorgeous harmonies, big laughs, heartfelt moments, and just enough mischief to keep everyone on their toes.

From the bittersweet warmth of Dolly Parton’s Hard Candy Christmas to the glorious irreverence of Randy Rainbow’s Hey Gurl, It’s Christmas!, JOY! brings together the many moods of the season. You’ll hear the soaring gospel celebration of Joy from The Preacher’s Wife, Straight No Chaser’s unforgettable take on Auld Lang Syne, beloved holiday favorites, and plenty of surprises along the way.

Because a GMCC holiday concert has never been about simply standing onstage and singing pretty Christmas music.

It’s beautiful voices and ridiculous moments. Tradition with a twist. A chance to breathe when the season feels overwhelming — and a chance to laugh when everything has gotten just a little too serious.

Sometimes heartfelt. Sometimes campy. Occasionally delightfully unhinged.

Always joyful.
